Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion - EN

Set before the events of Gloomhaven, Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion is a standalone game designed for a more casual audience to get into the gameplay more quickly. The difficult-to-organize cardboard map tiles have been removed, and instead players play directly from the scenario book, which features unique illustrations for each scenario. Additionally, the barrier to entry has been lowered with a simplified ruleset and a five-part tutorial to ease new players into the game.

The game features four new characters that can be used in the original Gloomhaven: Valrath Red Guard (tank, crowd control), Inox Hatchet (ranged damage), Human Voidwarden (support, mind-control) and Quatryl Demolitionist (melee damage, obstacle manipulation). There are also 16 monster types, including seven new standard monsters and three new bosses, and a brand new campaign with 25 scenarios. The heroes are sent on a mysterious investigation into the city: are Vermlings the culprits, or is something much more sinister behind the disappearances?
